HartSense offers child-led; family-focused, neuroaffirmative and evidence-based assessment and intervention support. We come to you and work in the comfort of your own home, school, college or children's centre.

We work with babies, children and teens with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, dyspraxia, Down Syndrome, and sensory processing differences, as well as children in care and adopted children. We work closely with schools and local authorities to meet the individual needs of our clients.

Based in Reading and covering Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, and North Hampshire.

Our Services

Assessment

We have a range of assessment options to meet the needs of every age and ability. We can provide assessments for the purpose of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) application. Please get in touch to discuss your child's specific needs.

Intervention

Our intervention sessions are fun, evidence-based and tailored to your child's specific strengths and needs. We can provide contracted OT services for Local Authorities and carry out school visits.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Children's Occupational Therapy (OT) is a healthcare profession which helps children to overcome physical, mental or emotional challenges, so that they can participate meaningfully in play, learning, self care and independence.

Children's OTs work with children, their parents/caregivers and teachers to support play, gross and fine motor development, dressing, feeding/eating, sensory processing and learning.
